ToolboxHVAC · guided diagnostics & verified reference data

Sources & Methodology

ToolboxHVAC is designed around a simple publication rule: the strength of the UI claim must not exceed the strength of the evidence behind it.

Evidence posture

The source repository may contain prototype records for schema and adversarial testing, but the public release strips non-verified fault-code records from the deploy artifact. This release ships 24 verified fault-code records and excludes 12 prototype records from the public HTML.

Verified source chain

A record marked verified must resolve to a registered source document, match its pinned SHA-256, use a valid page range, and match the document's canonical edition identity and metadata. Family-specific OEM overlays are verified-only and must also anchor to a real equipment family and code in the verified corpus.

PT data

The six frozen refrigerant datasets contain 1298 printed manufacturer rows. Build-time consistency checks compare those extraction records to the values embedded in the application before the site is emitted. Derived unit conversions are kept separate from native source values.

Reference teaching

Rules of thumb and general field-practice material remain visibly reference-grade and do not become colored pass/fail verdicts merely because they are plausible. Consequential repairs should be confirmed against the exact unit's OEM literature, measurements, and applicable code requirements.

Corrections

To report a source, applicability, or data issue, use the correction form and include the equipment model, displayed code or value, and the source document you believe controls.
